In 2009, Jeff Slobotski and Dusty Davidson, Silicon Prairie News co-founders, started a conference named the Big Omaha conference. The first year was aimed to be very simple, guiding attendees to follow their passion, build something they love, and expand their connections within the community with just over 400 attendees.
