Memorial Day Events for the Whole Family in Omaha

Friday, May 24
Omaha Storm Chasers STEM Night and Fireworks: The weekend will kick off with a baseball game at Werner Park at 6:35 p.m., followed by a fireworks display to light up the night sky.
Saturday, May 25
Patriotic Parade: Starting at 10 a.m., the streets of the Old Market will be filled with the spirit of patriotism as the parade winds its way along Jackson and Howard streets.
Festival of Trains In The Park: From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., River’s Edge will host train rides and model train displays, offering a fun-filled day for families and train aficionados alike.
Fontenelle Forest’s Critter Adventures: Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., children aged 9 to 12 can meet education animals and participate in hands-on activities at Fontenelle Forest.
Family Wild Edible Walk: Hitchcock Nature Center invites families to learn about wild edibles from 2 to 4 p.m. A small registration fee applies.
Take Meowt to the Ballgame: The Omaha Storm Chasers host another game at Werner Park at 6:05 p.m., this time with a feline twist.
Touch of Grey Concert: At 7 p.m., Stinson Park in Aksarben Village will come alive with the sounds of Touch of Grey.

Habitat Hike at Neale Woods: Join a Fontenelle Forest naturalist for a hike from 2 to 4 p.m. to explore the local habitats and wildlife.

Memorial Day Observance at Prospect Hill Cemetery: At 10:45 a.m., the community will gather to pay respects to the fallen heroes, with speeches and a ceremony to commemorate their sacrifices.
